Transform your old Christmas tree balls by covering them with colourful crochet. If you have a box of old Christmas baubles that don’t quite match your tree anymore, don’t throw them out! Crochet bauble covers are a quick and creative upcycling project that transforms old ornaments into beautiful handmade pieces.
The bauble cover consists of two identical circles that we partly crochet, partly sew together around the ball and its original hanging loop.

The tutorial example is for a ball that is 8 cm wide (about 3 in), but by changing the size of your hook and/or yarn, you can adjust the same pattern to fit different bauble sizes.
The bauble uses basic stitches in the round, and is suitable for all levels of crocheters. The pattern is a step-by-step video tutorial.
Remember that if a YouTube video is too fast or too slow, it is easy to adjust the speed in the video settings!
