Some time ago I was looking for Christmas decoration ideas in Pinterest and found a folded paper Christmas tree. Of course, I always think how something could be done in crochet or knitting! After several attempts I came up with this Christmas tree shape decoration. It took some tries with folding paper to decide what shape would be best. At the end, a simple semicircle seemed to work best.

At first I tried to fold it starting in the middle. That doesn’t work. After various tries, I found the best way to fold the piece as I show in the video.
I haven’t yet had time to make one in white but I think that would look great. You can decorate the tree both before and after folding it. No limit to the imagination in what you can add to it. Any kind of novelty yarn or thread, glitter, beads, sequins, pompons, buttons etc.
